Your heel should be either even with or slightly forward of the back of the sandal. This cute open toed strappy sandal offers maximum comfort. The highest quality leather uppers follow the natural contours of the foot. Calf leather is a soft, delicate fine grain leather. Breathable, non-allergenic Vegetable Tanned socklining absorbs odor and wicks away moisture. Footbed is made of a dual-density Latex-rubber compound. The High-density material follows the foot's anatomical contours, supports the foot from heel to toe and offers optimal energy return and rebound. This material is also infused with a highly antimicrobial agent protecting against fungus and bacteria. The Low-density material provides shock attenuation under the heel and ball of the foot. Removable footbed in closed-back shoes accommodates custom orthotics. Mid-density polyurethane outsole with EVA insert provides shock absorption, flexibility and rebound. Great Service and Super footwear product... Wonderful shoe - This shoe was comfortable from the moment I put it on. I was able to wear it several hours the first time. It looks great dressy or casual. I bought white patent, and a nice comfortable white shoe is hard to find. I usually wear an 8-8.5 in an open toe shoe & wore an 8.5 in this one....

Cool & Comfortable - This shoe was comfortable form the first time I put it on. More often than not, shoes tend to be too narrow for my feet. These are quite spacious. Style is distinctive without being too far out there.

Perfect! Dansko Avril (Red Satin) Women's Very comfortable and stylish sandals. Plenty of room for the toes while snug enough overall. Great if you prefer low profile sneakers, but have to dress up occasionally. I thought that I wouldn't like the extra lacing flap, but it really does look great on the shoe. Wish I had known about these shoes a long time ago.

Distinctive shoe - If you are looking for something unique Dansko Avril (Red Satin) Women's Sandals , but which won't scream for attention this shoe is a good candidate. The distressed look is distinctive but not overdone. I think they look better in person than in the photos. The lacing is unique but this makes it a little difficult to feel like you are adequately tightening the shoe. I have experimented briefly with some other lacing patterns but have not found one to improve upon the delivered one. Overall though, I am very pleased with this shoe.
